Groves makes an annual award each year; in even numbered years the award is the Feldman Award; in odd numbered years the award is the Sussman Award.
Feldman Award
Feldman Award This award in honor of Harold and Margaret Feldman, both early and outstanding leaders in the fields of family and policy, is given in given in odd-numbered years to the author(s) of a peer-reviewed journal article or book chapter published within the last 5 years that makes a significant social policy contribution related to ethnicity and/or gender and the theme of the annual Groves Conference.

The Sussman Award is given for a scholarly publication related to the conference theme of the year it is awarded.

Goebel-Macklin Award
This annual award, established in 2009, to help a promising graduate student attend their first Groves meeting, is awarded to a young professional who shows potential to make important contributions to the field of marriage and family and devotion to the future of the Groves Conference. Any donation to this fund will be matched up to $10,000 by Groves’ dedicated members Karen Goebel and Eleanor Macklin.
