The Feldman Award, in honor of Harold and Margaret Feldman, both early and outstanding leaders in the fields of family and policy, is given to an author or authors of a peer-reviewed journal article or book chapter published within the last 5 years that makes a significant social policy contribution related to ethnicity and/or gender and that is also supportive of the theme of the Groves Conference annual meeting. The 2009 conference is from June 7 to 11 in Chapel Hill, NC, home to the first Groves Conference.
The award consists of a $1,000 honorarium and reimbursement for conference attendance expenses (travel, hotel, meals, etc.) up to an additional $1,000. The award winner(s) must be able to attend the conference and present their work.
